Salary: £22,600.24 - £51,048 per annum (pro rata)

Hours: 16 hours 15 minutes (0.5 FTE Pro Rata - 32.5 FTE Teacher’s hours)

Contract: Permanent

Overview

We are seeking to recruit a music teacher to Cumberland Music Service, which is a Local Authority service delivery area within Cumberland Council. Positions are contracted Centrally Employed Teachers.

Responsibilities
  • 0.5 FTE to cover Brass delivery.
  • Teach full class, small groups, and 1-1 tuition.
  • Depending on location, participate to develop Carlisle Music Centre and progress after school performances.
  • Desirable (but not essential) to offer other instruments such as recorder/ukulele to whole classes and/or choir.
  • Pay will be dependent on experience and qualification, minimum Unqualified Teacher Status to UPS3, and will be on Standard Teachers’ Pay and Conditions.
  • This role is available on a permanent basis.

  • Enhanced DBS Check with a Children’s Barred List check (DBS check required).
