Job summary

Our brand Lexington Catering is a multi award-winning value led company delivering catering, hospitality and reception services across London and the UK. We have an exciting opportunity for you to join the team as our People Manager.

You’ll be the central driving force for all aspects of the people strategy for our Lexington and Elior London sites within Business & Industry and Independent Schools, c.1500 colleagues across 150 locations.

Travel card for zones 1 and 2 will be provided

What you'll be doing...

This is a truly varied and generalist role where no two days will be the same – from Talent Management to Learning & Development, Project Management to Employee Relations. You’ll be supporting our London Leadership team and senior stakeholders across the business. You’ll also be a key part of our central HR team delivering a great people experience.
Based at our head office in Cheapside, London, the role will require you to regularly visit our sites to ensure our people strategy is embedded across the business.

Your key accountabilities in this role will be to:

  • Work collaboratively with Directors and stakeholders to ensure People activity/focus areas are aligned with and supports business objectives and strategy.
  • Lead and deliver Talent Management and Succession Planning activity to provide opportunities for growth and progression across the business.
  • Innovate and implement new ideas to drive engagement, embed the company values and nurture a culture of fun and inclusivity alongside the facilitation of current engagement forums/programs.
  • Organise and oversee development programs, identifying specific training needs and implementing appropriate learning and development solutions that upskill our colleagues.
  • Coach and guide managers through complex ER and employment tribunal matters.
  • Support the business in the successful transfer in, and out, of employees under TU(PE) regulations ensuring we not only meet legal compliance but deliver high levels of engagement with transferring employees.
  • Proactively analyse data from monthly reports to track key statistics and identify trends and appropriate solutions.
What can you bring?
  • Demonstrate a strong background in complex employee relations, including managing tribunal claims and working closely with external solicitors
  • Have proven TUPE experience, supporting business change with confidence and professionalism
  • Be genuinely passionate about people and delivering an excellent employee experience
  • Bring ideas, energy and creativity, with a proactive approach to continuous improvement
  • Build strong, credible relationships with colleagues and key stakeholders across the business
  • Show sound professional judgement, with a practical, solution-focused and common-sense approach
  • Have excellent attention to detail, with high-quality written and verbal communication skills
  • Be confident working as a lone HR Manager in a broad, hands-on generalist role
  • Have experience operating within a multi-site organisation
  • Ideally have exposure to the retail or hospitality sectors
  • Be comfortable delivering presentations and training to a range of audiences
  • Possess strong IT and systems capability
  • CIPD qualified, ideally to Level 5
