Qualifications

  • Able to demonstrate an expert knowledge of pensions administration activities.
  • Previous pensions administration experience of Defined Benefit (DB) schemes.
  • Experience of current pensions legislation and frameworks is essential.
  • Previous supervisory of workflow management experience is required.
  • IT proficient: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint.
  • Effective management skills including awareness of management processes.
  • Able to demonstrate a numerical aptitude.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the management of annual and ad-hoc projects for all schemes.
  • Reviewing the client work of less experienced pension administrator team members.
  • Monitoring accuracy, performance, and SLA’s for the team.
  • Liaising with Administration Managers regarding appraisals and meetings.
  • Ensuring the accurate update of time recording system.
  • Maintaining a client focused approach.
  • Preparing, checking and issuing administration bills.
  • Updating internal change control and schedules.
  • Ensuring breaches, errors and complaint logs are completed.
  • Deputise at Administration Manager meetings when necessary.
  • Manage day to day activities of staff.

Expert knowledge of pensions administration activities
Pensions administration experience of Defined Benefit schemes
Experience of current pensions legislation
Supervisory of workflow management experience
IT proficiency
Effective management skills
Numerical aptitude

Education

Strong Maths and English GCSE or equivalent qualification – minimum grade B/6
Progression within a relevant pensions qualification (CPC/QPA/DPC/RPC/APMI)
