A leading health charity in Peterborough is seeking a Peer Educator Manager to coordinate the peer educator project and support a UK-wide initiative aimed at improving kidney health. The role emphasizes relevant experience over formal qualifications, offering a positive and flexible working environment with various benefits. The closing date for applications is 21 December 2025.
Salary: £33,000 - £36,000 FTE, depending on experience.
Hours: Full time: 37.5 hours per week (part time: minimum 30 hours per week considered), with flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
Be a part of an energetic and vibrant team driven by the desire to improve the lives of people living with kidney disease. Our vision is a day when everyone lives free from kidney disease.
In our recent review, “Time to Act: A New Review of Kidney Health Inequalities”, a priority was highlighted for additional services and new approaches for high‑risk and underserved groups to reduce the risk of developing kidney disease or prevent kidney disease from progressing.
To help achieve this we are expanding our peer educator initiative, an evidence‑based and multi‑award‑winning model to engage and reach underserved communities, support health awareness and literacy, and instigate behavioural change. It is delivered by trusted, trained peer educators through attendance at events and community spaces. We aim to scale up the rollout and adoption of peer educators within the care pathway across the UK, focusing on early detection and diagnosis of chronic kidney disease and associated conditions such as cardiovascular disease and diabetes.
We do not specify formal qualifications; relevant experience and commitment to kidney health improvement are required.
We offer a positive working culture, work‑life balance, flexible working hours, paid annual leave, pension scheme contributions, parental leave, sickness pay, death in service cover, employee assistance programme, bike loan and cycle‑to‑work schemes, eye care, learning and development, private medical insurance, discount portal, and interest‑free loans.
We are committed to providing equal opportunities for everyone and encourage applications from all sections of the community.
Complete the online application form and submit together with your CV.
