A local school in Kent is seeking a permanent relief Passenger Assistant, ideally located in Dover or surrounding areas. Candidates to ideally be based in Dover, Deal, Folkestone and surrounds.

We are looking for a permanent relief Passenger Assistant and would be interested in hearing from both those that can help with daytime runs (during the school day) and/or the home-school, school-home runs at either end of the day.

Please state on your application what your regular availability would be.

This would be a Kent Scheme A position, paying £12.71 per hour,plus an allowance.

Passenger Assistants/Escorts will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well‑being of pupils during their journey.

The successful candidates:
  • Must be able to establish a rapport with pupils and parents
  • Must be emotionally resilient
  • Must possess a good sense of humour, be patient and remain calm in difficult circumstances.
  • Previous experience of escorting children with complex behavioural, social, emotional and mental health difficulties would be an advantage, but training will be given
