For additional information on remote work at Penn State, see .** **JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS**Penn State New Kensington is accepting applications for a part time Athletics Administrative Support opening.The Administrative Support role supports the general administrative functions of the Penn State New Kensington Athletics Department. This support includes serving as the primary point of contact for the office, assisting with communications and document preparation, coordinating calendars and meetings, and assisting with budget maintenance. # Job Duties* Greet customers/visitors, provide information and/or refer as appropriate; review and direct phone and mail communications; act on routine requests.* Schedule and maintain calendar of appointments and meetings; schedule classrooms or conference rooms.* May coordinate travel arrangements, make reservations, and process reimbursements.* Compile and organize materials from different sources to draft eMails and memos, prepare documents, meeting materials, and reports.* Proofread materials to ensure proper grammar/formatting.* Process and review routine payroll and/or human resources forms.* Create and maintain work unit files and databases.* Perform data entry; gather, assemble and format data to create simple reports.* Update and make routine changes to web pages.* Attend meetings; record, transcribe and distribute meeting minutes.* Serve as resource to others on a variety of subjects including office equipment, software application usage, and information processing procedures.* May maintain inventory and order/purchase office supplies; arrange for equipment maintenance; process work orders for facilities repairs/needs.* Assist in arranging special events.* Assist with planning and coordination of projects.* May provide training and/or supervision of student and other support staff. **BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES**This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. **CAMPUS SECURITY CRIME STATISTICS**Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR).
