Job Summary
Softcat, a £1B+ technology solutions provider, is looking for an Order Management Manager to drive operational excellence across our order management and invoicing processes. This role will own supplier data integrity, manage ETA accuracy, deliver Right‑First‑Time invoicing, and lead improvements in operational workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of ETA data integrity across all customer orders, ensuring they are accurate, reliable, and consistently maintained.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, regularly reviewing performance and driving efficiencies.
- Lead efforts to improve data quality by analysing trends, identifying gaps, and implementing corrective actions that enhance the reliability and transparency of ETA information.
- Partner closely with Sales and Finance teams to ensure ETA data supports accurate forecasting, customer communication, and financial planning.
- Ensure all invoicing is completed on time and meets right‑first‑time (RFT) standards.
- Collaborate with finance, sales managers and other departments to streamline invoicing workflows and resolve issues.
- Lead initiatives to improve invoicing processes through system enhancements and process reviews.
- Identify opportunities for automation to improve operational workflows and reduce manual effort.
- Collaborate with system development teams to deliver tools and solutions that support operational goals.
- Own the performance tracking framework and ensure data‑driven decisions are embedded in daily operations.
- Lead, coach and motivate cross‑functional teams to achieve operational KPIs.
- Foster a culture of accountability, ownership and continuous improvement.
- Ensure seamless collaboration and communication across departments to support end‑to‑end operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to engage and communicate effectively across all levels of the business.
- Demonstrated success in leading large teams, driving performance, team development and implementing change.
- Track record of delivering process, system and efficiency improvements.
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build credibility across departments.
- Highly organised and resilient, capable of managing multiple priorities under pressure.
