Introduction

Working alongside a dedicated team you will provide specialist care designed to support women with an emerging personality disorder diagnosis. You will be part of an environment that emphasizes teamwork and provides hands‑on experience, guided by experienced healthcare professionals. Under supervision you will be responsible for planning and facilitating evidence‑based group and individual programmes, creating individual rapport with service users to empower recovery.

As an Occupational Therapist you will be:
  • Providing comprehensive OT assessments.
  • Planning and reviewing OT treatment programmes under supervision.
  • Identifying and actioning referrals both in‑house, including support staff, and to external agencies.
  • Supporting the planning, evaluation, and audit of practices, clinical pathways and protocols at St Mary's Hospital.
  • Ensuring that contemporary written and electronic records and activity data are maintained following professional and service standards.
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
  • A Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • UK HCPC registration or an application in progress.
  • Evidence of ability to research, plan, implement and evaluate a project for specific groups.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Where you will be working:

Location: New Road, Rougham Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, IP30 9LR. You will work at the Chimney’s Clinic, a 12‑bedded service that offers specialist care designed to support women with an emerging personality disorder diagnosis. You will work alongside the multidisciplinary team at the Chimney’s, providing a therapeutic environment to aid recovery. The focus of the service is to enable the young women to reduce harmful behaviours and replace them with effective strategies, enhancing their lives and helping them reach personal goals.
