A local government authority in the UK is seeking a Network Coordinator to join their Street Works Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating works within the highway, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, and managing road closures for safety. Applicants should hold an Engineering qualification or equivalent and have a good understanding of highways legislation. We are looking for a Network Co-ordinator to join our Street Works Team, this is a fantastic opportunity for self-starters with experience in Highways and Traffic Management and knowledge of current legislation relating to Street Works.
As part of the Street Works Team, you will be based out of County Hall, Northallerton. You will be tasked with the co-ordination of works within the highway and to ensure the associated permitting/noticing is compliant with the relevant legislation and/or code of practice.
You will be required to process road closures, when necessary, on behalf of statutory undertakers to ensure safety whilst works take place for both the public and the undertaker, whilst also considering the impact of disruption to the public.
You will also ensure requests for network information and correspondence are responded to within the agreed timescales.
You will have an Engineering qualification or equivalent to ONC level.
