We are looking for a Network Co-ordinator to join our Street Works Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for self-starters with experience in Highways and Traffic Management and knowledge of current legislation relating to Street Works.

Responsibilities

• Be based out of County Hall, Northallerton and coordinate works within the highway.
• Ensure permitting/noticing is compliant with the relevant legislation and/or code of practice.
• Process road closures, on behalf of statutory undertakers, to ensure safety during works and assess disruption impact to the public.
• Respond to requests for network information and correspondence within agreed timescales.

What you will bring

• You will have an Engineering qualification or equivalent to ONC level.
• Knowledge and understanding of current highways legislation (e.g., Highways Act, New Roads and Street Works Act, Traffic Management Act, Road Traffic Regulation Act).
• Knowledge and experience in the application of Traffic Signs Manual and the Code of Practice – “Safety at Street Works and Road Works”.
• Experience in network coordination.
• Good problem solving and decision-making skills.
