Responsibilities
- Assisting with general maintenance and repair tasks across the Inspired Works portfolio, ensuring estates are safe, functional, and well‑presented
- Improving the visual appeal of interior and exterior spaces, keeping them welcoming and attractive
- Carrying out works within occupied properties, both indoors and outdoors, with minimal disruption to residents
- Performing carpentry tasks, including framing, door and window installations, woodwork repairs, and kitchen installations and maintenance
- Installing and maintaining plumbing systems to ensure effective water supply and drainage
- Undertaking tiling, plaster repairs, and minor decorating tasks, maintaining high standards of workmanship
- Applying paints, varnishes, stains, and other coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment, ensuring correct preparation of surfaces with primers and undercoats
- Aligning wallpaper for a seamless and visually appealing finish
- Applying protective coatings to guard against moisture, corrosion, and general wear and tear
Key Requirements
- Having proven experience as a Multi‑Skilled Operative with a minimum of two years’ hands‑on experience
- Demonstrating strong painting and decorating skills, including surface preparation, paint application, wallpapering, and finishing techniques
- Exhibiting proficiency in problem‑solving and assessing work requirements effectively
- Possessing a broad skill set across multiple trades, with a solid background in property maintenance
- Valuing practical ability and hands‑on experience, with formal qualifications being desirable but not essential
- Holding a full UK driving licence
