Multi-Skilled Facilities & Utilities Engineer – Day Shift (Milton Keynes)

Join our fast-paced bakery manufacturing team!

We’re looking for a highly motivated and versatile engineer to take on a key role in maintaining and improving our site’s utilities and facilities. Based at our busy bakery in Milton Keynes, this day-shift position is ideal for someone with strong electrical maintenance skills and a solid background in FMCG or high-speed production environments.

As part of our engineering team, you’ll be responsible for the upkeep and fault diagnosis of essential utilities equipment including boilers, air compressors, fire systems, and refrigeration units. You’ll also support building repairs and contractor management, contributing to a safe and efficient working environment.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on a wide range of utilities equipment.
  • Diagnosing and resolving electrical faults quickly and cost-effectively.
  • Supporting facilities improvements across manufacturing, welfare, and office areas.
  • Collaborating with the Maintenance Manager and contractors to ensure smooth operations.
  • Documenting all work accurately for compliance and performance tracking.
What we’re looking for:
  • A minimum of 3 years’ multi-skilled engineering experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • HNC/ONC or City & Guilds in Electrical Maintenance.
  • Proven experience with electrical fault finding and installation.
  • A flexible, hands‑on approach with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety and quality.
