  • Liaise professionally with clients and site teams.

Purpose of Role

We are looking for an experienced Mobile Fabric Engineer to join our mobile maintenance team dedicated to various retail contracts.

Job Description

The Building Fabric Technician would be responsible for undertaking building fabric and basic plumbing maintenance works including PPM servicing and reactive breakdown repairs. The successful candidate must have a UK driver’s license with no drink driving offences and be happy working on a mobile basis across the North West.

Responsibilities
  • Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs
  • Building fabric maintenance, including: Door furniture and ironmongery, Fire door inspections and minor repairs, Ceiling and floor tile repairs/replacement, General fabric upkeep and fault finding
  • Minor plumbing works, including: Sink flow checks, Flushing and tap repairs, Toilet maintenance and basic fault rectification
  • Basic electrical support, including: Emergency lighting checks, Lamp and ballast replacements
  • Accurate completion of job reports via PDA or tablet
  • Ensuring all works are completed safely, compliantly, and to a high standard
  • Liaising professionally with clients and site teams
Essential Qualifications/Skills
  • Proven maintenance background in commercial environments – ideally retail.
  • Qualified in relevant trades (i.e., Carpentry, plastering, decorating or equivalent).
  • Strong, demonstrable competencies in building services trades.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • A good understanding of how to work safely.
  • Competent in the use of tablet or computers and data handling including PDA & Microsoft Office.
  • UK Drivers License (no more than 6 points)
