Mobile Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer – Digital Print Sector

Location: Hampshire

Client Summary

A world-class manufacturer of printing presses serving the international garment printing industry. With a worldwide distribution network, the company provides full sales and service support across six continents. The majority of the technical team work in manufacturing and research & development and are based in East Hampshire, with a state‑of‑the‑art production facility near Shanghai, China.

Role Summary
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults on textile printing machines, drying systems, and digital print systems.
  • Install new equipment at customer sites.
  • Perform regular scheduled maintenance to keep machines in optimal working condition.
  • Provide remote and on‑site support, troubleshooting, and advice to customers.
  • Plan service visits, likely using a CRM or internal tools.
Essential Skills / Experience
  • Strong electrical knowledge: experience working with 3‑phase or single‑phase systems.
  • Good mechanical fault‑finding skills.
  • Ability to read electrical diagrams.
  • Experience (or awareness) of PLCs, motors, and pneumatics is a plus.
  • Good logical thinking for troubleshooting and problem‑solving.
  • Full UK driving licence required (field‑based role).
  • Willingness to travel nationally and sometimes internationally.
  • Customer‑facing skills: good communicator, comfortable with client interaction.
  • Health & Safety awareness.
Working Conditions / Requirements
  • On‑call rota / extra hours may be required; paid overtime is offered.
  • Travel makes up a significant portion of the role (site visits to customers).
  • In‑house onboarding training is provided.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK.
