About this Vacancy

We are looking for an experienced Mining Geologist/Geological Engineer or Mining Engineer with strong Geological background capable of working across multiple mining types and methods—proficient in mine design and planning software. Embedded within our Technical Team, you'll leverage geological insight alongside engineering tools to develop software tools, support our client base and solve complex resource extraction challenges.

Your Responsibilities

• Geological modelling and validation across diverse mining contexts—surface, underground, open-pit, bulk and brine extraction scenarios.
• Potentially contribute to software evolution by liaising with our development teams to embed innovative mining workflows into PE tools—ensuring technical rigor and project impact – particularly in the areas of mine design and planning to optimise resource evaluation, mine layout, and extraction sequencing.
• Become an expert in the structural modelling capabilities of the MOVE suite of software tools and apply these learnings to conduct feasibility assessments, structural interpretation, and geotechnical analysis to reduce uncertainty and support operational decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams—including engineers, software developers, and clients—to deliver integrated solutions.
• Participate in client discovery workshops to define objectives, tailor workflows, and ensure sustained knowledge transfer—empowering clients beyond project delivery.

Experience

• Professional experience in mining geology, encompassing multiple commodity types and mining methods.
• Proficiency with mine design/planning software (e.g., Vulcan, Datamine, Surpac, Deswik).
• Strong foundation in structural geology, resource/block modelling, and geotechnical assessment.
• Demonstrated capacity for innovative interpretation, validation, and uncertainty reduction in geological modelling.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience engaging stakeholders and clients.
• Familiarity with geological field workflows, data collection, modelling best practices, and data integration approaches.
