This role blends strong practical design skills with solid engineering awareness, ensuring every product is visually refined, technically robust, and ready for manufacture and assembly. As a midweight, you will be trusted with your own projects and design tasks, while collaborating closely with senior designers and supporting junior members of the team.

This position suits a confident, hands on designer who enjoys problem solving, translating ideas into production ready outputs, and working closely with Manufacturing, Procurement, and Assembly teams.

  • Contribute to product improvements, refinements, and new concepts across the portfolio.
  • Produce accurate CAD models, assemblies, surfaces, and detailed production components.
  • Develop, and submit engineering drawings, tolerances, BOMs, and supplier ready documentation.
  • Prepare exploded views, assembly instructions, and supporting technical documentation.
  • DFM Application
  • Apply DFM principles to ensure designs are feasible, efficient, and repeatable.
  • Consider the implications of tolerances, material selection, part geometry, and production workflows.
  • Work with manufacturing and procurement teams to refine designs for cost, quality, and ease of assembly.
  • Team Contribution
  • Support senior designers with critical project tasks and technical development.
  • Provide informal guidance to junior designers when appropriate.
  • Maintain high standards of CAD organisation, revision control, and communication.
  • Cross Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Consultants, Procurement, Manufacturing, Licensing, and Creative teams to ensure aligned, high quality outcomes.
  • Support prototype builds and first offs by responding to real world challenges quickly and constructively.
  • High quality CAD and drawing outputs delivered to timelines.
  • Accurate, manufacturable designs requiring minimal revision during prototype and production phases.
  • Effective teamwork and communication with wider departments.
  • Application of DFM principles and production aware decision making.
  • Positive feedback from internal teams and suppliers.
Ideal Experience & Profile
  • 2+ years of industry experience in industrial, product, or mechanical design.
  • Good proficiency in CAD software.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes including:
  • CNC Machining
