Middle Office Business Analyst – Commodities & Energy Trading House | £80,000 + Bonus + Benefits | 3 days office, LDN

Business Analyst needed for a Commodities & Energy Trading House currently undergoing a technology landscape transformation. They are looking for key Business Analysts for long-term engagements to act as the bridge between front office traders and the development team.

This Middle Office Business Analyst role will focus on improving and evolving the front office derivatives trading capabilities. You’ll be working with users across the business and covering functionality across the full end-to-end trade lifecycle for both physical and derivatives trading.

Responsibilities

• Act as the bridge between front office traders and the development team to deliver changes.
• Focus on improving and evolving front office derivatives trading capabilities.
• Cover functionality across the full end-to-end trade lifecycle for both physical and derivatives trading.
• Perform hands-on analysis of trading activity and gather and shape business requirements.
• Develop in-depth system and application knowledge to support change delivery and continuous improvement.
• Define and document requirements, propose solutions, build consensus among stakeholders, and work with developers to deliver changes.
• Collaborate with middle office teams to ensure technology solutions meet business needs and regulatory requirements.
• Identify improvements and recommend solutions to stakeholders; maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders and delivery teams.
• Support continuous change delivery with a team that releases multiple times per week.

Qualifications & Skills

• Solid experience with SQL.
• Hands-on exposure to middle office processes (risk, settlements, treasury).
• Strong communication skills to liaise with stakeholders such as risk managers and development teams.
• Knowledge of middle office compliance, including risk, settlements, and treasury functions.
• Experience gathering requirements, shaping business needs, and working with data from the middle office.
• Experience in Agile or Waterfall environments.

Salary & Location

Salary: Up to £80,000 + Strong Bonus & Benefits
