Introduction

To lead and direct the development/facilitation of supply, localisation and industrialisation for local manufacturing and production. To improve local skills, economic development and investment in local capable suppliers/enterprise and skillsdevelopment/job creation/supplier management. To develop strategies and facilitate target setting for achievement of the shareholder key performance indicators (KPI’s) across the organisation, ensure Eskom business objectives, operation and maintenance programmes are met and positively contributes to government’s local development objectives.Department: ProcurementTask Grade: M17Business Unit: Supplier Development, Localisation and Industrialisation

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive, influence and contribute to the development of supplier development, localisation and industrialisation (SDL&I).
  • Formulate and implement an enterprise/supplier development strategy/framework.
  • Provide strategic direction and advisory service across the business for the implementation of Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE).
  • Direct the development of industrialisation/localisation/skills development/job creation strategies for sourcing contracts.
  • Ensure development, enhancement and reliability of the process and system for monitoring and reporting performance.
  • Give strategic direction to business units in the organisation regarding supplier evaluation processes.
  • Manage the formal and informal interfaces, relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage and develop resources. Ensures that all SLA`s meet customer expectations and formulates appropriate methods to share business information with all stakeholders.
