Job summary

A leading retail company in Rochdale is seeking an Engineering Technician to provide comprehensive support for mechanical handling equipment. The role includes troubleshooting mechanical and electrical fault diagnosis and performing preventive maintenance in a fast-paced automated warehouse environment. Candidates should possess a recognized apprenticeship, ONC/HNC in Engineering, and have strong communication skills. The position ensures continuous operational efficiency and requires the ability to work in shift patterns.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained mechanical or electrical discipline with a recognized apprenticeship.
• Fully experienced in both mechanical and electrical fault diagnosis.
• Experience of working within an automated warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform rectification of MHE breakdowns and provide technical support.
• Undertake preventative maintenance work and maintain accurate records.
• Work as part of the Engineering team to promote best practices.
