Where you fit in

In our Metering Administration Assistant role you will provide administrative and customer service support to the Metering Operations department to facilitate the resolution of customer issues. You will be well‑organised, prioritise your workload and deliver excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

The role involves assigning and completing work using several IT platforms, learning new systems, speaking with customers, arranging work and dealing with complaints both verbally and in writing.

What we need from you
  • Strong IT skills & experience of YW corporate systems and Microsoft Office
  • Previous experience working as part of a team in an administrative role
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong internal and external relationships
  • Experience supporting or embedding change with the ability to influence and drive the right culture and behaviours
  • Clearly demonstrates the Yorkshire Water values and behaviours
Preferred skills
  • Experience delivering against challenging business targets
  • Experience in a commercially oriented and/or regulated environment
  • Experience in the water / wastewater sectors or broader utilities, process or manufacturing industry sectors
  • Experience billing using Yorbill, Advantex, SAP and ICE
