Job description

Marketing Manchester (MM) is on the lookout for a passionate and driven Marketing Executive to join its team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in shaping, executing, and evaluating strategic marketing initiatives that position Manchester as a premier destination for leisure tourism.

Please note that interviews will be held W/C 12 January 2026.

Marketing Manchester is the city-region’s Destination Marketing Organisation and promotes Greater Manchester nationally and internationally as a place to visit, invest, meet and study.

Key Responsibilities
  • Input into, and occasionally lead, the planning, execution, and evaluation of leisure marketing campaigns, events, trade shows, and familiarisation visits.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with partners and stakeholders, securing input and approvals across a range of marketing opportunities and collateral.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure all activities are delivered on time, and within budget.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and support the rollout of marketing activity.
  • Optimise marketing budgets to achieve maximum impact and ROI.
About you
  • Proven expertise in marketing and communications, gained through previous work experience, or backed by a professional qualification in Marketing, Communications, Events Management, or Tourism.
  • A keen interest in destination marketing and promoting Greater Manchester as a place to visit.
  • A confident, collaborative, and solutions-focused individual with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
Skills Required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with the ability to produce high-quality documents, presentations, and reports.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset, with experience working across diverse teams.
  • Strong planning and organisational abilities, capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Clear and confident communicator, both written and verbal, with a focus on engaging and impactful messaging.
