Job description

The Marketing and Outreach Assistant will design and perform a targeted campaign of awareness-raising for the services of the Cole Resource Center’s Workforce Program in the Allston and Brighton neighborhoods.

Responsibilities

• Learn the elevator pitch and other essential information about CRC’s Workforce Program.
• Identify all businesses, offices, medical facilities, organizations and storefront locations in areas with at least moderate foot traffic that are willing to display CRC materials.
• Create a tracking spreadsheet of these locations to include name of business, address, website (if available), date of visit and number/type of materials left at location, as well as where materials were displayed.
• Visit all locations, engage in courteous and professional communication to request leaving materials.
• Create an additional list of free online/digital posting opportunities and, using provided digital assets from CRC, create postings.
• Meet with Director of Organizational Development before and after project completion to report on progress, success, and “need to know” information about particular locations.

Minimum Requirements

• Agreement with CRC’s mission and values; sharing of its commitment to support and advocate for those living with mental health conditions.
• Residence in Allston or Brighton.
• Experience with community engagement and outreach.
• Engaging, courteous, outgoing disposition.
• Access to a computer and stable internet connection.
• Ability to use Google Sheets to create and document project information.
