Join to apply for the Manufacturing Technician Wiring role at Portal Londrinatur

Due to demand we are looking for experienced technicians to join our Optronics and Missile Electronics (OME) business unit in Glasgow. With experience in wiring and building electrical assemblies you’ll be performing manufacturing tasks in accordance with engineering drawings to the required quality.

The role is based at our Glasgow manufacturing site. You will work a 4‑day week, Monday‑Thursday, 9.25 hours per day. Start time is flexible between 6:00 am and 7:30 am, with 30 minutes unpaid for lunch. Free on‑site parking and a canteen are available.

What you’ll do
  • Ensure all incidents are logged correctly and escalated to H&S leaders as appropriate.
  • Escalate health and safety issues to the Work Cell Manager.
  • Perform complex manufacturing operations in accordance with the associated documentation and quality standards in a timely and professional manner.
  • Adhere to the defined company processes when carrying out all tasks.
  • Perform self‑assessment and approval of products.
  • Input and support any continuous improvement actions being worked on within industry.
  • Detect any faults or non‑compliance and raise alerts; contribute to diagnostics and root‑cause analysis where possible.
  • Manage and record build configuration of product.
  • Use company tools (ERP, Palma, etc.) when carrying out product assembly tasks.
