Job Title: Maintenance Engineer (Days)

Working Hours: 8am - 4.55pm Mon- Thurs, 9am - 4.35pm Friday

Location: Telford

Salary: £36,000 - £40,000 PA

ACR has partnered with a well-established manufacturer who works heavily within precision engineering based in Telford and is actively recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join their team. This person will look after a range of fabrication machinery to ensure mechanical and electrical faults are dealt with quickly and efficiently.

Maintenance Engineer's Key Responsibilities

• Deliver effective maintenance engineering support, including diagnosing breakdowns, repairing machinery, and fitting new parts to ensure equipment runs correctly
• Maintain, assess, and develop manufacturing operations, machinery, and workshop procedures in line with business needs and production goals
• Support plant/process efficiency, safety, and product quality while adhering to all company policies, work instructions, and Health, Safety & Environmental standards
• Keep maintenance systems updated and ensure all equipment, processes, and environments meet required standards
• Demonstrate strong personal qualities, including optimism, honesty, moral courage, self‑motivation, flexibility, proactiveness, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous experience working as a Maintenance Engineer, Breakdown Engineer, PPM Engineer or Technician
• Knowledge of both mechanical and electrical engineering works with the ability to fault find, repair and improve machinery
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate at all levels
• Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to budget and run cost‑saving projects
• Must have the full right to work in the UK
