A leading hotel group in Honiton is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Assistant to join their maintenance team. This role involves maintaining the hotel's functionality and health & safety, performing basic repairs, and assisting with renovations. Preferred candidates will have experience in a similar role and knowledge of fire safety. Location: THE PIG-at Combe, Honiton, EX14 3AD
Salary: £12.21 - £13.25 per hour DOE, (OTE £13.21 - £14.25 per hour, including tronc).
Hours: 35 hours per week. over 5 days.
We are currently looking for a Maintenance Assistant to join our dedicated maintenance team.
As a Maintenance Assistant you will work as part of a small team, cohesively maintaining the functionality, efficiency, health & safety of the hotel. The ability to manage preventative maintenance is key, along with knowledge and understanding of fire safety.
You will be required to be 'hands on’ expressing a ‘can do’ attitude. Most of the responsibilities will involve basic repairs of damaged facilities, equipment, painting and decorating; at times you may have to help the Maintenance Manager coordinate renovations and additional projects.
Experience in a similar role is preferred, along with any qualifications or exposure to PAT testing, electrics, plumbing, fire safety, carpentry, plant room management, health, and safety.
