ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a Machinist to join our dynamic Machine Shop team and play a key role in manufacturing high‑precision components for elite motorsport applications, our machinists are integral to continued development.

The role and responsibilities include:
  • Set, operate, and programme CNC machines to produce complex components from aluminium, steel, and other exotic materials.
  • Writing and proving programs using HyperMill and Heidenhain controls.
  • Operate manual milling machines, lathes, grinders, and hand drills.
  • Work from technical drawings and CAD data to achieve tight tolerances and high‑quality finishes.
  • Ensure all components meet M‑Sport’s strict quality standards and deadlines.
  • Work collaboratively with other Machinists, Design, Engineering, and Assembly departments to deliver continuous improvement.
  • Support the maintenance and cleanliness of machines and the environment.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a self‑motivated team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude. The ideal candidate will be:

  • Educated to a Level 3 certificate or equivalent qualification in Machining. Along with having a strong knowledge and understanding of engineering principles.
  • Strong knowledge of HyperMill, Fanuc and Heidenhain controls.
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and inspect your own work on both small and large batches using various materials to tight tolerances.
  • Skilled in multitasking and prioritising workloads under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for problem solving.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a multi‑disciplinary team.
Preferred Experience:
  • Previous experience in a CNC machining environment, preferably within precision engineering.
