Job description

JDR Recruitment are looking for a machine operator to join our client based in Haydock WA11.

Payrate: £12.21 per hour

Location

Haydock, WA11

Working Hours
  • 6pm until 6am Monday to Thursday - 3 day weekend!
  • 6am until 6pm and 6pm until 6am rotating weekly!
  • We have positions available on a rotating day / night shift pattern
  • Permanent Roles Available
  • Full 12 hour shift paid
The Role

As a production operative you will be working within a fabrication environment and your duties will be as follows:

  • Operation of Conversion Machinery
  • Setting up machines at start of shifts or for new jobs: loading raw materials, aligning film rolls, adjusting parameters
  • Continuously monitoring machine performance and output consistency
  • Contributing to a, safe workplace environment, e.g.: clean floors, organised stations, clear walkways
About You
  • Previous work in fast-paced manufacturing
  • Hands‑on experience in visual inspections and quality checks
  • Understanding of machine safety, lock‑out/tag‑out procedures, PPE use
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the company
