M&E Project Director

Mk Search are currently working with a well established mechanically biased M&E contractor with a turnover of circa £200m and a strong presence delivering across the life science, pharma and data centre sectors who require an M&E Project director to take control of a £35m M&E pharmacuetical project in Newport, South Wales. The project has just been secured and as MEP Project Director you will have autonomy to take full control of the scheme and manage from early stage pre‑construction through to PC. The project is a complex engineering build with cleanrooms, black and clean utilities and other major and complex packages.

M&E Project Director Responsibilities
  • Attend project meetings and produce reports.
  • Build relationships with clients/contractors as part of the team.
  • Attend meetings with designers, specialist contractors and internal teams.
  • Review designs to ensure compliance to specification.
  • Review, assess and select mechanical sub‑contractors.
  • Knowledge of market rates and have commercial input to the procurement team.
  • On‑site review and management of building services installation to ensure contract compliance.
  • Ensure health and safety policy is adhered during project duration.
  • Sign off to pay a very good salary or day rate (CIS or Ltd) the opportunity to join a leading contractor with an excellent reputation on a very notable project. They have a very busy order book across the UK and mainland Europe for the coming years.
