Job summary

A regional NHS authority is seeking a dynamic Locum Consultant in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. This role involves leading Oral Surgery clinics, delivering local anaesthesia procedures, and providing support to primary care practitioners. The successful candidate must be fully registered with the UK General Medical Council and preferably hold a higher surgical qualification. This position offers an annual salary between £109,725 and £145,478, based at Southend Hospital with opportunities to work at various locations for over 1.6 million patients.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited training scheme leading to CCT.
• Registration with the General Medical Council in oral & maxillofacial surgery.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clinical colleagues and support staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support General Oral Surgery clinics.
• Deliver Local Anaesthesia procedures and lead sedation services.
• Provide clinical advice and support to primary care practitioners.
• Participate in clinical governance meetings for service improvement.
• Engage in audit and research activities.
