Line Cook at The Sagamore Resort

The Sagamore Resort is looking to add a Line Cook to our team! A great Line Cook is motivated, a strong team player with good communication, and passionate about the food they serve. Our restaurants offer a variety of menus, from Italian, pub‑fare, seafood, high‑level steakhouse, and more - so your culinary skills will always have the opportunity to develop and grow with our team.

Responsibilities
  • Sets up the station in time for service according to restaurant guidelines
  • Prepares all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
  • Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the chef or restaurant
  • Restocks all items as needed throughout the shift and is responsible for taking inventory after service
  • Cleans and maintains stations, practicing good safety, sanitation, and organizational skills
  • Has understanding and knowledge to properly use and maintain all equipment in the station
  • Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk‑in coolers, and all storage areas
  • Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by the Chef, and Sous Chef at any time
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED a plus but not required
  • Previous experience a plus
  • A thorough and deep understanding of professional cooking including basic techniques and working food knowledge
  • Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures
  • Professional communications skills are required

Pay range: $16.00 - $18.50 an hour, based on experience and qualifications.
