Job summary

A leading automotive company in the UK is looking for an experienced Light vehicle MOT tester. You will conduct MOT tests, ensure compliance with safety standards, and maintain equipment. The ideal candidate must have a Level 3 qualification in vehicle repair and a valid UK driving license. Qualifications

  • Proven experience in carrying out diagnostic and service repairs.
  • Ability to ensure adherence to DVSA Standards.
  • Current, full UK driving license for relevant vehicle classes.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out MOT tests to the highest standards.
  • Communicate MOT test position with Service Reception.
  • Perform regular safety checks on equipment and facilities.
  • Complete MOT logs and DVSA report data.

Overview

£30,000-£36,000 per annum DOE

40 hours a week – Monday – Friday 08.00 to 16.30 and you will be required to work Saturday morning on Rota 4 - 5hrs

Your Role

Your Role: Role Level on the Rygor Career Journey Map: M1, Individual Contributor – Light vehicle MOT tester

Responsibilities
  • Carry out MOT tests on retail & internally prepared workshop vehicles to the highest possible standards
  • Continued & updated communication with Service Reception regarding MOT test position for accurate & time sensitive customer communication
  • Carry out on site MOT lane performance reportable to Management teams
  • Carry out regular auditable equipment & facility safety checks
  • Completion of MOT logs along with DVSA reportable data
  • To assist with DVSA visit checks along with working with any alterations or actions from site visits
  • Make sure upkeep of facility/MOT lane and associated areas are to required standards
Qualifications

Qualification - You will need to be level 3 (NVQ or City and Guilds or IMI Qualification) in PC/LCV Vehicle Repair and maintenance, plus, will have experience in carrying out diagnostic and service repairs. What’s more, you will need the ability to identify worn and faulty components in accordance with the DVSA Standards and have a current, full UK driving license for the relevant vehicle classes.
