Job Title: Sports & Leisure Team Member

Location: Billing Aquadrome, Crow Lane, Little Billing, Northampton NN3 9DA

Employment Type: Seasonal (Summer) – Full Time / Part Time hours available

Salary: £12.75 - £14.50

Shift Patterns: Mon – Fri / Weekends / Bank Holidays / Days

About the role:

We are seeking a vigilant and responsible individual to join our team as a Lifeguard at our leisure centre. As a lifeguard, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well‑being of our guests while they enjoy our aquatic facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Being a team player and understanding the value of teamwork
• Maintaining a concentrated observation of the pool and pool users, to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of all swimmers.
• Follow all relevant legislation including Health & Safety, Hygiene, First Aid and Fire Evacuation.
• Observing all RLSS requirements
• Ensuring safety of customers and other team members and security of equipment.
• Carry out rescues and initiate emergency action where necessary.
• Ensuring paperwork is completed neatly and accurately within specified deadlines.
• Report all potential accidents and near misses.
• Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the pool and associated areas, including toilets and changing areas.
• To undertake and organise activities contained within the sports resorts programme or water resorts programme.

Experience / Skills Required:

• Desirable Qualifications – Training can be provided
• RLSS Lifeguarding Qualification (NPLQ, OWL or NVBLQ) - Essential
• RLSS Aqua Park Module
• AED / First Aid Certificate
• Pool Plant Operator (RLSS or STA)
• BWSW SLO 1 / SLO 2
• Paddle Sport Instructor
• RLSS TA (OWL or NPLQ)
• Have a minimum of 1 years of management / leadership experience in a leisure background (ideally in an outdoor aqua park or pool. Or the desire to progress into a management role
