Job summary

A leading Multi Academy Trust in the North East is seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one support in EYFS. The role involves working closely with individual children and implementing support plans to ensure their development and welfare. The successful candidate will exhibit flexibility and reliability and contribute to a nurturing educational environment. This is a fixed-term position with a salary range between £22,730 and £23,092. Level 2 Teaching Assistant (1 to 1 support in EYFS) – Fixed term until 31st August 2026

NJC Grade F, Spinal Point 7 – 8 (actual salary £22,730 - £23,092)

37 hours per week, term time only plus 5 days

The role will involve
  • Supporting and working with either individual children or groups, under the guidance of the teacher.
  • Following, supporting and implementing children’s individual support plans.
  • Providing a high standard of nurturing and education for all children within the class.
  • Being proactive, flexible and a reliable team player, offering support to colleagues when required.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with children, parents and other settings or agencies to enable all children to develop and flourish with their needs at the forefront of all we do.
