As a Legal Support Assistant in our team, you’ll be supporting the Insurance Division with the opening of a variety of files and capturing all data on a centralised system. Our team is known for its deep industry knowledge and commitment to delivering high-quality, commercially focused advice to our clients, who include some of the UK’s leading insurers.

The role can be based from either our Glasgow or Edinburgh office, and we offer a hybrid working arrangement with 2 or 3 days working from the office and 2 or 3 days from home.

Responsibilities
  • Processing instructions for all new matters.
  • Adhering to strict service levels.
  • Ensuring that files are opened timeously to meet with specific court deadlines related to each file.
  • Accurately entering all relevant data and information on to a centralised system.
  • Be able to prioritise and organise your work efficiently and effectively to ensure all tasks are completed to specified deadlines.
  • Being able to work flexibly and adjust to changes in priority of workload.
  • Maintaining electronic files in line with business process and regulatory requirements.
What will help you succeed in this role?
Essential
  • Legal or Law qualifications, with personal interest in Scottish law.
  • Basic to intermediate IT and keyboard skills with knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft systems.
  • Excellent administration / organisational skills.
  • Ability to work to set deadlines and service levels.
Desirable
  • A good team spirit with proven team working skills.
  • Good attention to detail and concern for accuracy and quality of work
  • Excellent communication skills.
