Lecturer in Public Law and Anti SLAPP, Law (LAW084A)

Job Description

To support the work of the School of Law’s Anti-SLAPP Research Hub, as well as the delivery of our core programmes, we wish to appoint a Lecturer in Anti-SLAPP and Public law. The successful candidate will be appointed to a Teaching and Research contract. They will be expected to provide leadership in our research and public engagement concerning Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participation (SLAPPs), including engagement with public entities and non-governmental organisations. They will also contribute as appropriate to the delivery of our public law lecturing portfolio, which includes UK Public Law, comparative Public Law, and the law of the European Union.

Salary will be at the appropriate point on Grade 7, £47,389 - £56,535 per annum with placement according to qualifications and experience.

Should you require a visa to undertake employment in the UK you will be required to fulfil the minimum points criteria to be granted a Certificate of Sponsorship under the requirements of the Skilled Worker visa. At the time an offer of appointment is made, you will be asked to demonstrate that you fulfil the criteria in respect of qualification and competency in English. For research and academic posts, we will consider eligibility under the Global Talent visa.
