Music Lecturer – Gloucester

A vibrant and creative further education college in Gloucestershire is looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Music Lecturer to deliver BTEC Level 2 and Level 3 Music Production for a minimum of one month. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with recent teaching experience in music and a strong production background to make an immediate impact.

Temporary cover – minimum of 1 month (possibility to extend)

Working Days & Hours
  • Monday to Thursday, 9:00am – 4:30pm
  • No teaching hours on Fridays
Pay

Up to £35 per hour (PAYE), depending on experience and qualifications.

Role Overview

You will be delivering engaging and practical teaching sessions across BTEC Level 2 and Level 3 Music Production. The focus will be on helping students develop both technical and creative skills in music technology and production, while also supporting their wider academic progress. You'll need to hit the ground running, quickly building rapport with learners and ensuring lessons are well‑prepared, inclusive, and meet qualification standards.

Essential Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in Music (Performance or Production)
  • A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd or equivalent)
  • Experience delivering music production content at BTEC or equivalent level
  • Confident with music production software and industry practices
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply
