Job description
Overview

Lead Veterinary Surgeon role at Park Vet Group, Whetstone, Leicester. Salary up to £75,000 per annum, depending on experience. Permanent, full-time (flexible working patterns can be discussed).

Location: Park Vet Group, Whetstone, Leicester

Responsibilities
  • Lead and line-manage a team of vets at the Whetstone site with support from a Practice Manager and Clinical Director. The role will have a clinical focus, with 0.5 days per week admin time.
What we are looking for
  • RCVS registration and a minimum of 5 years general practice experience.
  • Existing line management experience is desirable but not essential; development support into leadership is available.
  • A passion for leading and encouraging team development; GDP advisor or desire to become a GDP Advisor.
  • Ability to perform routine neutering (cats and dogs of all sizes) without support – including flank cat spays.
  • Ability to perform abdominal ultrasound, TFAST and AFAST imaging without support.
  • Ability to perform exploratory laparotomies, splenectomies, GDVs, gastrotomy and enterotomy without support.
  • Confidence with routine consultations in 15 minutes and routine dental cases.
