A leading engineering firm in the UK is seeking a hands-on engineer to guide control system projects from conception to completion. Candidates should have experience with PLC, HMI, and SCADA software systems, and be able to lead small teams effectively. BGEN is one of the UK's largest multidisciplinary design and build contractors with over 100 years of industry experience. We support clients in the Water, Power & Energy, Pharmaceutical, Nuclear and Food and Beverage industries to deliver next generation, value-added engineering solutions.
We’re looking for a friendly, hands‑on engineer who enjoys guiding projects from start to finish.
You’ll be involved in every stage of control system design, development, testing, and commissioning, while creating clear technical documentation along the way.
Your skills in PLC, HMI, and SCADA software will help bring ideas to life, and you’ll also tackle reverse engineering to build strong design records.
You’ll mentor junior engineers and lead a small team of 3-5, supporting their growth, assigning tasks, and celebrating progress together.
