Job summary

A community sports organization in Dundee seeks a passionate Lead Para Football Coach to deliver high-quality inclusive football sessions. Lead Para Football Coach: Dundee United Community Trust

Location: Dundee (with travel required)
Salary: £13.63 per hour
Hours: 8–10 hours per week. Key working days are Monday, Thursday and Friday, with weekend flexibility required.
Reports to: Head of Community Football

Role Overview

Dundee United Community Trust is seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Para Football Coach to deliver high-quality, inclusive football sessions for children and adults within its Para Football Programme. The role focuses on developing confidence, ability and enjoyment through football, while supporting participants’ physical, social and emotional development.

You will also play a key leadership role by mentoring and supporting sessional coaches and volunteers, ensuring all activity reflects the Trust’s values and safeguarding standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, deliver and evaluate engaging para football sessions
  • Lead by example, maintaining high coaching and safeguarding standards
  • Mentor, guide and support sessional staff and volunteers
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers and guardians
  • Promote and support the Para Football Programme
  • Monitor and evaluate processes such as attendance and participant feedback
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working with people with disabilities
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Valid Children’s Wellbeing in Scottish Football e-learning certificate
  • SFA Children’s Coaching Award (1.3)
  • Experience working within the sports sector or a football charity
  • SFA Youth/Adult Coaching Certificate (1.3)
  • Knowledge of the Class for Kids system
  • Based in Dundee or willing to relocate
