KS2 SEN Teacher –Clowbridge, Burnley, BB11 5PQ

Purpose of the Role

To plan and deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching that meets the diverse needs of pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviours.

At Moorlands View School:

Part of the Keys Group, Moorlands View School is a welcoming and nurturing provision. A co-educational independent special school that provides a supportive and personalised education programme for pupils aged between 7-16. The school caters for pupils with complex social emotional and mental health needs.

The majority of our pupils are Children Looked After, living in Keys Group residential homes in the local area. Moorlands View School provides a therapeutic informed approach and specialist support in a nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, evidence-informed lessons that meet theindividual needs of pupils, including those with SEND and trauma histories.
  • Use assessment data to monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Promote pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development through trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches.
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning, consistent with the school’s behaviour policy and Staff Code of Conduct.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants and specialist staff to provide effective support
