Contract Type: Fixed‑Term Apprenticeship, Full‑time for 17 months

Are you a natural organiser with a passion for media? The Junior Production Coordinator Apprenticeship at the BBC could be your perfect start. You’ll help set‑up filming on location or in the studio for programmes such as The One Show or Women’s Hour. No media experience or qualifications are required – just enthusiasm and problem‑solving skills.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT
  • Assist with shoots, studio setups, crew bookings, and call sheets
  • Book transport and accommodation
  • Raise payments for suppliers and broadcasters
  • Apply for accreditations, permits and visas
  • Create and manage small budgets

On successful completion of your apprenticeship, you will be able to apply for roles such as Production Management Assistant, Production Secretary or Production Coordinator. You will study for a Level 4 apprenticeship qualification through a combination of on‑the‑job training and off‑the‑job learning.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
  • Be 18 years old or over by the time the apprenticeship begins in September 2026
  • Have lived in the UK continuously for the last 3 years prior to the start of the apprenticeship
  • Be legally eligible to work full‑time in the UK for the entire duration of the apprenticeship
  • Not currently enrolled in another apprenticeship programme
  • If under 19 years at the start, have achieved Maths and English GCSE (Grade 4/C) or equivalent
