IT Field Services Engineer – Milton Keynes, Head Office

This is a field-based IT role where you’ll provide ‘Best inClass’ IT support to the Group 1 Automotive business. You’ll deliver both remote ticketing support and in-person onsite assistance to colleagues across central and western England.

You’ll ensure compliance with IT policies, maintain security standards, and provide excellent hardware and software support across the Group.

What you’ll do day to day
  • Respond to IT tickets and calls promptly, providing clear updates and resolutions.
  • Deliver remote and onsite support for Group offices and retail stores.
  • Build, configure, and install devices (PCs, laptops, mobiles), printers, and showroom equipment.
  • Support networking, infrastructure, video conferencing, and comms room maintenance.
  • Assist with hardware deployments, onboarding/offboarding, and GDPR‑compliant data handling.
  • Troubleshoot automotive diagnostic systems and liaise with third‑party suppliers.
  • Support telephone systems and Keyloop (Dealer Management System) applications.
  • Maintain strong internal communication and customer service standards.
  • Occasionally work out of hours for projects or new site openings.
Helpful skills and qualifications

  • Strong troubleshooting skills for Windows systems, hardware, and networks.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, customer‑focused approach.
  • Full UK driving licence (essential for field‑based travel).
