An exciting role within the Lakeland IT Team gives you the opportunity to demonstrate your skills across the complete lifecycle of business systems.
Lakeland is embarking on an exciting period of system and process improvement to better align and react to the ever‑changing needs of its customers, advancing technology and market opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Work with stakeholders to support the analysis, design, development, testing and implementation of new systems, changes to existing systems and process initiatives to maximise operational effectiveness.
- Act as the in‑house technical expert for assigned business systems, providing 2nd‑level support, performance monitoring, patches, releases and upgrades to production.
- Take ownership of IT‑project features or work packets throughout the software development life cycle, from scoping to BAU handover.
- Capture business requirements, convert them into functional requirements, and develop and implement new and existing system and process initiatives.
- Design, write, document and execute detailed end‑to‑end system integration tests, ensuring appropriate levels of test coverage.
- Manage relationships with third‑party developers and drive defect prioritisation and resolution.
- Develop user test plans in conjunction with business system users, ensuring thorough test cases and adherence to schedules.
- Prepare and manage cut‑over plans, oversee go‑live events and ensure training is in place for success.
- Provide 2nd‑level support to investigate production issues, escalating to system providers to meet agreed service levels.

Qualifications
- Graduate level education or equivalent.
- Experience with at least two full software project delivery lifecycles.
- Three years or more of solid experience in business analysis, systems analysis and/or business systems support.
- Expert knowledge of Lakeland’s business processes and how they map to end‑to‑end system and data flows.
- Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
