Leaders in Care are supporting a not-for-profit organisation in appointing an Interim Ofsted Registered Manager for a newly established 4-bed EBD / Therapeutic-Informed Children’s Home in Redditch. This short-term contract offers an exciting opportunity to provide leadership and stability during a crucial period for the home.

This short term contract is for cover for 2 months as they await someone to join permanently

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership and management of the home to ensure compliance with Ofsted Regulations, Children’s Homes Regulations, and the Quality Standards.
• Support the embedding of a therapeutic-informed approach across the home.
• Lead, supervise, and support staff, ensuring a safe, nurturing environment for children.
• Oversee care planning and safeguarding processes to ensure children’s welfare is prioritised.
• Drive high standards of practice and ensure the home continues to meet its Statement of Purpose.

Requirements

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
• Must have experience of completing at least one Ofsted inspection as a Registered Manager.
• Strong leadership and people management skills within an EBD children’s home.
• In-depth knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and therapeutic practice models.
• Ability to provide stability and direction quickly in an interim capacity.
