Job summary

A leading engineering consultancy is looking for a motivated student for an Industrial Placement in Building Services (MEP) in Bath, UK. The role offers hands-on experience in mechanical design and project engineering amidst a variety of challenging projects. Candidates pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in relevant fields are encouraged to apply. Industrial Placements (also known also as Year in Industry) are typically 12-month placements with flexible start dates.From the projects you will work on to the clients we work with. To learn more about our Building Services team and further projects, .The role could see you working as a mechanical designer in a large project team, or being a project engineer on smaller schemes. You will be working on some of the most technically challenging projects in our portfolio - recent examples include: , at Manchester Science Park, the , Space Studios and the new at Bramley Moore Dock in Liverpool.* You will embrace the latest technologies to improve performance and sustainability. Sustainable design is top of our corporate agenda.* Undertake building services design and calculations (using both software and knowledge to verify robust calculations).* Exposure to preparation of technical specifications and schedules, design development reports and innovative design solutions.* Involvement in planning and managing input to CAD for production of design work.* Attend where possible, and shadow at Buro Happold at meetings with clients, other professionals and suppliers.We would like to hear from you if you are currently studying towards a Bachelor or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, Electrical Engineering, Architecture & Environmental Engineering and Engineering Design.A plethora of interesting and challenging projects to stretch your professional skills, a friendly and close knit team, flexible working and a competitive reward package.
