Job Introduction

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to lead a small, dedicated team based in the Council's Strategic Housing Department.

The team's role covers a broad range of tasks from enabling, policy and strategy development, and data management and research. Direct experience across all areas is not essential, although a basic understanding and willingness to learn would be key.

The team works closely with the Team Manager and Head of Service, as well as internal teams such as planning and estates. You will be the Council's lead on enabling affordable housing and will work collaboratively with colleagues across the County to facilitate this on both a strategic and site‑specific level. This will include liaising with private developers and Registered Providers. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of national and local housing issues and be competent to develop policies and strategies to direct the department's operations.
