Hospitality Lead – Van Duzer Vineyards (New Concept Tasting Room in Dundee, OR)

Van Duzer Vineyards is launching a new concept tasting room in Dundee, Oregon, and we’re looking for a Hospitality Lead to help create unforgettable wine experiences. This role is ideal for someone passionate about all Oregon wine, highly sales-driven, and skilled in hospitality. You’ll work closely with our Director of Consumer Sales to deliver high-level, fun, and educational tastings while building strong relationships with referral partners and guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead engaging, informative private wine tastings and adapt seamlessly to high‑volume, by‑the‑glass wine bar service.
  • Drive wine sales and wine club sign‑ups through authentic, relationship‑based interactions.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and foster a welcoming environment for all guests.
  • Be flexible with reserved tastings and walk‑ins, ensuring smooth guest experiences.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Consumer Sales to develop referral partnerships and community connections.
  • Assist with occasional events such as pop‑ups, opening celebrations, and collaborative winery experiences.
  • Maintain tasting room standards, including cleanliness, organization, and operational efficiency.
  • Process sales orders and reservations accurately using POS systems.
  • Contribute ideas and energy to a new team culture focused on flexibility, fun, and excellence.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of restaurant or hospitality experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of Oregon wine; WSET Level 2 or Sommelier certification preferred.
  • Highly sales‑driven with proven ability to meet or exceed goals.
  • Outstanding social and communication skills; ability to educate and entertain guests.
  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays; flexible scheduling possible.
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with guests and industry partners.
  • OLCC permit and Oregon Food Handler’s card required (or ability to obtain).
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work on your feet in a fast‑paced environment.
Compensation

$25–$30/hour plus tips and commissions, with potential to earn $35–$40/hour as traffic grows.

Start Date

We aim to have this position start January 2026, but for the right candidate, an earlier start is possible.
