About The Role:

Days of Working: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

This role covers a range of sites on a National basis, travel is expected and required.

We are seeking a Head of Technical Performance – PFI Sector to lead technical governance and performance across all PFI contracts nationally. This role ensures compliance with statutory and contractual obligations, optimises lifecycle planning, and manages technical risk to deliver asset reliability, contractual performance, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities You Will Have:
  • Ensure all PFI contracts meet statutory and contractual technical requirements.
  • Maintain compliance frameworks for building services, health & safety, and environmental standards.
  • Lead technical audits and ensure zero critical non‑compliances.
  • Oversee lifecycle planning and delivery to meet contractual obligations.
  • Optimise asset performance and replacement strategies to minimise cost and risk.
  • Develop and monitor technical KPIs across all PFI contracts.
  • Produce monthly and quarterly performance reports for senior leadership and clients.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks impacting compliance or availability.
  • Act as technical authority for clients, regulators, and internal teams.
  • Lead and develop a team of technical specialists and performance analysts.
The Ideal Candidate Should Meet the Following Criteria:
  • Must have Right to Work in the UK.
  • UK driving licence.
  • Proven leadership experience in technical governance within PFI or similar sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of building services, statutory compliance, and lifecycle planning.
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a technical discipline (or higher).
  • Expertise in risk management and contingency planning for critical systems.
  • Ability to develop and monitor KPIs and produce accurate performance reports.
  • Skilled in influencing and negotiation with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and data‑driven decision‑making skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Ability to manage change and introduce innovation in complex environments.
  • Commitment to delivering 100% compliance and technical excellence.
