Job summary

A leading engineering firm is seeking a Project Manager to oversee the project delivery function. This role involves leading projects in the nuclear sector, maintaining project plans, and mentoring team members. Ideal candidates will possess an Engineering or Project Management degree and relevant certification, alongside more than 5 years of project management experience. Proficiency in tools such as SharePoint, MS Project, and P6 is required for success in this role. This opportunity is based in the United Kingdom.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of project management experience.
• Experience in the Nuclear Sector is essential.
• Deep knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical Systems and standards.

Details

Key responsibilities:

• Build and hone the Project Delivery function to be a high performing team
• Implement a simple and effective Project delivery methodology using the building blocks in place at CORE
• Lead projects from concept to end result
• Develop project scopes and deliverables in collaboration with customers and stakeholders
• Maintain project plans and budgets, managing changes to scope, schedule and costs
• Monitor progress, identifying risks and mitigate issues
• Report on project and portfolio status
• Facilitate Project Meetings, advise on updates and close communication with clients
• Ensure projects meet quality standards
• Mentor and lead team members
• Collaborate with CORE’s functions to generate and propose new projects and lead

Minimum essential qualifications/ experience and role requirements:

• Engineering or Project Management Degree
• Project Management Certification- APM PPQ
• Experience within the Nuclear Sector
• 5 Years plus of Project Management experience
• Proficiency with SharePoint, MS Project, P6
• Deep knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical Systems
