Head of Client Implementation

Sokin has a unique opportunity to join us as our first Head of Client Implementation. You will lead the API Implementation function, overseeing a team responsible for guiding clients through onboarding, integration, and ongoing technical consulting to ensure they fully leverage our platform. As the senior point of contact, you will define best practices, mentor your team, and work cross‑functionally to ensure smooth delivery across all client integrations.

This role requires a combination of strong leadership, technical expertise, and strategic thinking. You’ll shape the implementation strategy, establish scalable processes, and ensure Sokin delivers a world‑class onboarding and integration experience that drives long‑term partnerships and customer success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and scale the API Implementation function, managing and mentoring a team of implementation specialists and technical consultants.
  • Act as the senior technical bridge between Sokin and our clients, ensuring a seamless transition from sales to implementation.
  • Define and implement scalable processes, best practices and frameworks for client onboarding and API integration.
  • Oversee multiple client projects, ensuring technical quality, on‑time delivery and high client satisfaction.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering and Support teams to troubleshoot complex issues, streamline integrations and improve the client experience.
  • Guide clients’ technical teams in configuring and integrating Sokin’s APIs, offering expert‑level support and best practices for secure and efficient implementation.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, integration frameworks and knowledge‑sharing resources to enable team efficiency.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify opportunities for automation, product enhancement and continuous improvement within the integration lifecycle.
  • Act as a key stakeholder in the product roadmap, representing client and implementation team perspectives to drive strategic development.
  • Manage team performance, capacity planning and professional growth to ensure high operational excellence and scalability.
Requirements
  • Proven experience leading API integration or implementation teams in fintech, SaaS or payments environments.
  • Strong background in API integrations, technical delivery or technical account management.
  • Demonstrated success managing and mentoring technical team members – including direct oversight of at least one junior team member.
  • In‑depth understanding of RESTful APIs, authentication standards (OAuth, JWT) and webhooks.
  • Technical proficiency in languages such as Python, JavaScript or Java and familiarity with API tools like Postman and Swagger.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of influencing cross‑functional teams and presenting complex concepts to varied stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with experience overseeing multiple client implementations simultaneously.
  • Experience working within cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and familiarity with CI/DC pipelines and integration testing frameworks.
  • Experience within payments, financial services or FX is highly advantageous.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, evolving and globally distributed environment.
